Telematic Technologies for Transport and Traffic in Turin

A videosurveillance system based on 100 SOS devices installed at GTT stops provides citizens with the possibility of notifying any situations of hazard and, if necessary, of calling the police.
Video cameras have also been installed on 390 GTT buses to improve passenger safety even further. This is the first public transport videosurveillance system launched in Italy.

The same control is also assured on the Turin Underground using a forefront Wi-Fi vehicle/station transmission system.

On behalf of the City of Turin, 5T develops projects intended to reduce speeding, one of the main causes of accidents and deaths on the road.
In cooperation with the Municipal police, information and control systems are now being installed on the most important routes of the city to improve citizens' awareness of the impact of their behavior on the roads.
